Youth Empowerment & Livelihoods
We empower young people with practical skills, leadership training, and digital tools to build independent, productive futures. Through vocational training, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship support, we help youth unlock opportunities, gain confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality
We advance women’s empowerment and gender equality by promoting economic independence, supporting survivors of gender-based violence, and strengthening women’s roles in agriculture. Through self-help groups, training, and advocacy, we help women gain the tools, confidence, and opportunities to lead safe, dignified, and empowered lives.
Child Development & Protection
We promote the safety, education, and well-being of vulnerable children through quality early learning, child protection awareness, and after-school support—ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment
Our Approach
BK Community Initiative, working in collaboration with Soft Power Education UK with its extensive experience of 20 years in ECD, intends to intervene with a cluster-based strategy.
A cluster can be defined as a JJ cluster or slum or similar place with high concentration of underprivileged families, who cannot provide for early childhood development. The key is to create model cases in the clusters and then disseminate the cases for replication by a larger number of community-based organisations for improved outreach and impact.
BK Community Initiative would address each of the challenges through soft and hard inte rventions involving workshops for sensitization, establishment of pre-school centres (make-shift with smart classes) and providing linkage with formal educational institutes.
